This is a print of an original abstract monotype print. The artist applied ink, markings, paper cut outs, and various materials to a sheet of plexiglass, placed a sheet of paper carefully over top, and rolled it through the printing press.

Open Wings is representative of abstract shapes found in nature. Specifically, a bird reaching great heights. The yellow and orange color represent the cycle of sunrises and sunsets while the maroon color coming from the right symbolizes that nothing is promised.
Open Wings is a reminder to soar and take chances. To find the beauty in each day and to remember to live a life of great purpose because nothing is promised.
