Midnight Moonlight
This is a print of an original abstract monotype print. The artist applied ink, markings, paper cut outs, and various materials to a sheet of plexiglass, placed a sheet of paper carefully over top, and rolled it through the printing press. Real feathers are used to make imprints on the image. The colors in this print give off more of a moody tone. Depending on the opacity and transparency of the ink, the richness of the color varies. Midnight Moonlight speaks of the dark parts in our stories. The moments in our lives that we wouldn’t ever want to relive. The glimpse of yellow at the bottom and textures of the white patches are a reminder that you made it. You made it through the days you thought you couldn’t. Those scars, events, and moments all are part of you. How do you define the moments in your life when you felt broken? Do you focus on the darkness or the moonlight? You were stronger than what tried to hold you back, see the beauty in the battles you had to fight when no one was looking because that is what made you a warrior. Rise above.
*5”x7” and 8”x10” prints are matted, poster sizes are not matted, no frames are included*
