Feathered Sky

This is a print of an original abstract monotype print. The artist applied ink, markings, paper cut outs, and various materials to a sheet of plexiglass, placed a sheet of paper carefully over top, and rolled it through the printing press. Real feathers are used to make imprints on the image. This abstract image is representative of birds flying across the sky. While there are no images of birds, the viewer sees feathers, a marking that a bird has just flown by. Feathered Sky calls the viewer to take a deep look inside themselves. How do you want others to recognize you when you are gone? What type of mark are you leaving? People will always remember how you made them feel in the same way that you want to surround yourself with people who make you feel like a better version of yourself.
